Borg Al-Arab, Alexandria

BORG EL ARAB POWER PLANT & EXPANSIONS 2010–2022-125 MW

Borg Al Arab is the largest industrial area in Alexandria, located to the west of the city, comprising five industrial zones.

We generate and distribute electricity, with a total generation capacity of 125 MW, serving various industrial sectors and holding a significant market share of the generated and distributed electricity in Borg Al Arab.

Wadi El-Natroon

WADI EL NATRUN ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION NETWORK – 35 MW

Our electrical grid is a 22 KV system, which consists of about 39.3 KM of underground cables and over 43.9 KM of overhead transmission lines.

Transmission lines are fed from Wadi El Natrun industrial transformers station 66/22 KV with a total contractual capacity of 35 MW that serves more than 5,000 (Fadan)

Anshas, Sharqia Governorate

ANSHAS ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION NETWORK – 115 MVA

Anshas is turned by KAHRABA into one of the most industrial zones attractive to investors in several industries due to the quality of electricity service which is stable and reliable beside the care in maintaining all categories of clients. KAHRABA could save big industries and investors, plus immediate and small industries, after replacing diesel gensets with stable electricity.

This had a positive impact on the environment as Anshas could avoid harmful emissions, An extension started in 2022 as KAHRABA included within its concession Arab Engineering Association, to make it attractive to industrial investors as well.

An agreement as a usufruct right for the Abo Zaabal Chemicals Industries substation, extended for 30 years, to distribute electricity in the Anshas Industrial 
The substation included voltage transformers 3×25 MVA (66 KV/11 KV) and currently one of those transformers has been replaced with another 40 MVA unit.

10th of Ramadan

DISTRIBUTION NETWORK – 160 MVA + 150 MVA

Located in the New Industrial Area (المطورين الجنوبية) of 10th of Ramadan City, the project spans over 10 million square meters, divided into five main zones (A, B, C, D, and E) in addition to Zona Franca, A6, West of the City, 710 Feddan, and 64 Feddan. This massive industrial development includes more than 2,500 factories, designed to be supplied by two main substations  S13 and S15.

The S13 Substation Project is a strategic infrastructure milestone in 10th of Ramadan City, recognized as one of Egypt’s most significant and largest industrial zones.

 Through an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Kahraba obtained the right of utilization (usufruct) for the 66/11 kV S13 Substation, with a total capacity of 120 MVA.

This facility enables KAHRABA to supply electricity to over 210 factories, covering an area exceeding 3 million square meters, supporting the region’s rapid industrial expansion. Today, KAHRABA proudly serves more than 800 clients with a total distributed capacity exceeding 400 MVA, and is preparing to connect over 2,000 additional factories in the near future strengthening its role as a leading private power distributor and a key enabler of Egypt’s industrial growth.

Bilbeis Substation

New partnership project with the Egyptian government. a project designed to fuel industrial development and support sustainable energy in one of the country’s most strategic regions.

In Bilbeis Kahraba is constructing a state-of-the-art transformer station with a capacity of 80 Megavolt-Ampere. This station is specifically designed to supply power to the water pumping station that serves El-Shorouk, 10th of Ramadan, Madinaty, the New Administrative Capital, Rehab, and New Cairo.

A project that sets a new foundation for water and energy infrastructure in East Cairo, built to the highest international quality and safety standards.
